Lost or Stolen Cards

The Difference Between DEBIT or CREDIT
It's time to pay for groceries at the supermarket. You tell the cashier you are paying with your First Security Bank Debit Card. The clerk then asks, "DEBIT or CREDIT?" Ever wonder why you are asked this question?
The merchant is simply asking how you would like the transaction to be processed.
No matter how you respond, "DEBIT or CREDIT", the purchase will be deducted from your checking account. The main difference between the two is how you elect to authorize the sale. By selecting "CREDIT" you must sign your name to authorize the sale. If you select "DEBIT" you must use your PIN to authorize the sale.
